Fiction Podcast Weekly

Fiction Podcast Weekly is a newsletter publication focused on the audio drama and fiction podcast industry. It is authored by Lindsay Harris Friel and distributed through the beehiiv platform on a regular, typically weekly, schedule. Each issue compiles news, industry roundups, and announcements relevant to creators and audiences of scripted audio fiction.

Content includes casting calls for audio drama productions, writing opportunities, grant and funding announcements, and festival or award highlights. Issues also cover craft-related topics such as writing dialogue, sound design, scoring, and editing techniques, alongside commentary on platform changes affecting podcasters, such as updates from Spotify, Apple, Patreon, and Buzzsprout. The newsletter frequently references related projects, including ADWIT (The Audio Drama Writer's Independent Toolkit).

The publication serves independent audio drama creators, voice actors, sound designers, and fans of fiction podcasts seeking industry news, opportunities, and resources. It aggregates information from multiple sources within the audio fiction community, including competitions, residencies, and crowdfunding campaigns. Subscribers receive issues via email through the beehiiv subscription platform.
