OUR MISSION STATEMENT: We want people at a glance to see a new podcast, learn about new podcast, discover new podcast or be reminded of a podcast that has been forgotten. And with only a glance, our visitors should be able to see whether or not a podcast is worth the time investment. We also hope to connect the passion of podcasters with the passions of podcast listeners and enrich the lives of both. We’d like to provide “easy to understand” ratings for all visitors. THE HEATER-METER: We continuously scour the internet and compiled a list of various podcasts and we then run them through our formula that comes up with a total "temperature". The formula weighs popularity and longevity and pairs that with classic dedication to the total craft of podcasting. HOW TO RAISE YOUR SCORE- Contrary to popular opinion, we don't listen to and judge podcasts. When we listen to podcasts, it's because we are fans of the art form. We let the collective podcasting community determine what podcasts are working and which podcasts are not. So how do you raise your score? The answer is rather simple, ask your audience to rate, subscribe and review. If its out there, we'll find and run it through our algorithm and that will provide a score. We also do a periodic audit to determine if the score has changed.
