Podfest North

Podfest North is a one-day podcasting conference taking place at The Liner Hotel in Liverpool on Friday 13 November 2026. It is designed for podcasters, producers, creators and people considering starting a podcast across the north of England, North Wales and beyond, and is expected to attract hundreds of delegates ranging from beginners to established podcasters. The event is hosted by broadcaster Ngunan Adamu and organised by a team including former BBC figures Mick Ord and Nigel Thompson.

The conference programme includes speakers, workshops, panel discussions and debates on practical topics such as podcast production, video podcasting, audience growth, monetisation, AI and the future of podcasting. Speakers include established podcasters such as John Gibbons of The Anfield Wrap and David Reid and Stephanie Power of Married to the Machine, alongside industry experts from the BBC and Audio UK. The event is supported by trade body Audio UK, which promotes the Audiotrain skills and training platform.

Podfest North serves independent and emerging podcast creators, producers, brands and businesses interested in podcasting, and podcast listeners wanting to meet the people behind shows they follow. It aims to build a regional network of podcasters and audio professionals by providing access to specialist expertise, business contacts and commercial opportunities. Organisers intend for the event to become an annual fixture in the region's podcasting calendar.
