About Downcast

Downcast is a podcast client application for iOS, Mac, Apple Watch, and CarPlay that allows users to search, subscribe to, download, and stream audio and video podcasts. It is developed by Jamawkinaw Enterprises LLC and provides standalone podcast management without requiring iTunes synchronization. Users can manually subscribe to podcasts via URL, import and export feeds via OPML, and support password-protected podcasts.

The app includes playback features such as variable speed playback, chapter support for enhanced podcasts, AirPlay and Google Cast compatibility, and playback control from Bluetooth and other external devices.
