Podcast Engineering School

Podcast Engineering School (PES) is an educational program that teaches professional audio engineering and production skills specifically for podcast creation. Founded and led by Chris Curran, a veteran of music recording facilities such as The Hit Factory, The Soundtrack Group, and Quad Recording, the school addresses a shortage of skilled podcast editors, engineers, and producers in the podcasting industry. It serves aspiring audio professionals, including students and career changers, who want to work as podcast editors, engineers, or producers, either as employees or by starting their own production companies.

The curriculum covers advanced audio engineering techniques and podcast production workflows aimed at improving sound quality and editing efficiency. Training includes mentorship from Curran, who has produced podcasts for organizations such as Forbes, Dun & Bradstreet, and Johnson & Johnson. Students also receive discounts on relevant audio software and plugins used in professional production.

In addition to its training programs, Podcast Engineering School produces The Podcast Engineering Show, hosted by Chris Curran. The show features conversations with podcasters, producers, and editors about their audio equipment, software, and production workflows, providing supplementary industry knowledge to both students and the broader podcasting community.
