ShoutEngine

ShoutEngine is a podcast hosting platform that provides media hosting, distribution, and analytics for podcasters. The company was founded by Chris Hayes with a focus on providing accurate download and listener statistics, addressing perceived shortcomings in stat-counting methods used by other hosting platforms. It targets podcasters of varying experience levels, from beginners testing the medium to more established creators.

The platform offers unlimited storage for audio files, a basic website for each podcast, and search engine optimization intended to help hosted episodes rank well in search results. ShoutEngine includes analytics tools covering listener demographics and download numbers, as well as monetization features such as advertising integration.

ShoutEngine provides a free hosting tier as well as paid plans, with paid accounts charging for bandwidth rather than storage space. It is positioned as a low-barrier entry point for new podcasters who want to try podcasting without upfront financial commitment, while also serving those seeking more detailed audience insights.
